Bouquet

I decided to have a go at making my own Side Step card and here's the result. I cut a K&Co card blank to that shape. I also used some of my handmade roses, pink cardstock, punched and inked leaves, punch lace-like border, free sentiment, borders, butterfly embellishment, die-cut letters, ribbon, recycled wrapping from flowers. I also embellished the inside with some handmade papers cut into a frame and a butterfly stamp that came free with a past issue of Simply Homemade.

Mariposa

My first go at making a tri-fold card and I have to say I'm quite pleased. I also hand-stitched the butterfly using a pricking brass template and embroidery thread. I used  cream card stock which I distress using walnut ink, free papers, vellum, flower die -cuts, nestabilities, pearlescent card, stamped sentiment, ribbon and brads.

I made this card a little while ago and sent it to my Dad but I lost most of the pictures I took. Fortunately I've saved 3 on an e-mail and here they are. I decided to have a go a this new type of card. It took me a little time to work out the mechanism properly but it was fun to make and I was pleased with the results. I used free papers, a card template, letter stencils, Sakura gel pen, a strip of a plastic bag, star gems and a black pen.

My last post for 2010 and my last spinner card. I used Forever Friends Decoupage Sheet, free papers, brads, vellum, permanent pens, die-cut trees and foam pads.

Beaded Tree

Still one more spinner card. I hand cut the tree for this one and embossed it using a Cuttlebug embossing folder to enhance. I also used beads, peel-offs, ribbon, Bobunny papers, foam pads, holographic tape and a star gem.
