Navidad del 2006

Last Christmas was my first one here in N.I. The 1st Christmas away from my parents, sister and brother but the very 1st one with my husband Kevin. I was so excited to open my present because they were crafty goodies! Kevin got me some lovely goodies! I decided to scrap this picture because it's a very special one and will always remind me my 1st Christmas abroad.
I decided to use more funky colors and I went for pink. I also added some gift embellishments I made myself by cutting squares of background paper and wrapping them with ribbon.

Christmas Bauble made from an Earring!

I came up with these idea after I saw these earrings on sale at the beginning of this year. I thought they could make great Christmas embellishments if I removed the findings and add a pretty bow. I attached the earring with a small brad and them added the bow. I matted and layered the earring with purple and pearl cardstock To give it more sparkle to this card I also added assorted beads I got from girly's jewelry sets and Voila!

Getting ready for Christmas 07

After getting most of my stuff at the sales in early January I have enough to make my Chrsitmas cards this year. This would be the 2nd year I made them for all our famlily and friends. Started this past July but I still haven't made enough yet. I've made lots of decoupage and beading. I also will be making some quilled ones too and maybe be using some wire in them. I think applying some wire work to them will look great! I also need to scrap new pages since I haven't made any in a while a have quite a few pictures to scrap.

A new craft started

I decided to give it a go at Jewellry making and took some classes. So far I've made earring and just working with wire. I love making shapes with wire. I think they make great embellishments for cardmaking and scrapbooking too. Can't get enough beads! I've got a big plastic box full with caddies containing lots of different beads. These are just ordinary and plastic ones just for my cardmaking. I keep the glass one separeted and also my sister sent me some glass ones from Peru called "Murano Beads". They're gorgeous! Can't wait to get more.

Comienzo

Hi!

Thought I'll give it a try and have my own blog to post all my crafty creations like cards, scrapbookpages and other projects too. So far I've learnt a lot in this past year since I came to the UK . Can't believe how much my cards have improved and how I'm hooked to scrapbooking since this past November. I love all type of crafts and I also like jewellry making, macramé and knitting.
Crafts are really relaxing way to create new things and let your creativity flow.
