ANOTHER FUNKY WIRE SHAPE

This is the another wire tree I made with a jig but this time I deciced to use modern colors and here's the result. I went for the blues, silvers and whites. Used the same gauge of wire (24)but in silver. The gauge of the wire refers to the thickness so for this shapes I didn't use a very thick one. It's easier to handle thinner ones. It also depends on your project too.
I also added some embossing and used the CB Circle embossing folder and use it as a background for this card. Finally I added some peel-offs.

It's all about wire

Wire is my new addition to my cardmaking and I think it look great when you make shapes and add some beads for a sparkling touch. It's not that difficult to make lovely shapes if you use a wire jig. I used a plastic jig for this project and the fine peg so the loops will about the same shape. I used 24 gauge wire and it was 60 cm long. I added the beads as I got to the next turn. Some people recommend to thread all your beads first and push them down as you need them. Maybe that could a time saving option. Once finished I attach the wire tree with some small brads. I made this card in traditional colors so I use green, red and a little bit of gold. I added some chunky beads on the fine ribbon for a glamorous touch.

3 LITTLE PENGUINS - 3 PEQUEÑOS PINGUINOS

Another Christmas quilled card I made but this time I hace used 3 quilled penguins as my central design. I used the fine quilling papers in black and white to make a big coil and then shape it like a penguin body. I also added googly eyes and pom-poms on the the hats. For the sky I embossed some accetate using the same Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder and cut it in sections. I added some silver glitter glue on it and attached the acetate with some tiny silver brads. I also used the same materiald for the snow effect under the penguins as I the for the snowman card below.

CHRISTMAS QUILLING - FILIGRANA NAVIDEÑA

This is another mixture of my favorite technique again : quilling and beading. I made the snowman with fine quilling papers and added a pom-pom for the nose and googly eyes. I made the embossing with the Cuttlebug Snowflakes embossing folder in silver mirri card. I added some pink star sequins and seed beads. The wire Christmas word is from Papermania but I added the extra beads on the letter "C" and colour it pink with the Whispers permanet pens. I also add some organza ribbon under the wire word. I used wrapping paper for the background and vellum and foam to make it look like snow under the snowman. I attach the vellum with the star sequins and put a small piece of double sided tape under the vellum. I know vellum could be quite tricky to attach to cards and since I don't have any special vellum glue yet I have to see in which ways I can attach it to my cards without showing. Also brads and eyelets are another great way to keep vellum in place.

FELICITACIONES

This is other of my cards using the same techniques as the one below. I used a light blue card and background paper from DCWV for this card. I embossed the congratulations using the embossing folder from Ellison Design on my Big Shot and then thread some seed beads in green and light blue and wrapped them around the sides. I quilled the flower from the top and bottom using the thick quilling papers. The final touch was some organza ribbon I brought from my last trip to Peru.

QUILLED PINK DRAGONFLY

I made this card using favorite techniques: quilling and beading to make the drangofly's body. It's simple and much cheaper than buying a made one from a craft shop. I used clear beads and pink beads for the eyes. The wire I used in this card is 24 gauge. Just started by cutting 7 cm, thread the beads and them cut the excess off. I also used the Cuttlebug Thank You Embossing folder on silver mirri card. I matted and layer my embossed design and add lilac ribbon as the final touch

1 TAG : 4 WAYS TO GIVE IT TEXTURE

This is the 1st snowman tag I "dressed it up" by adding some acrilic and Silver 3-d paint on the hat and scarf. I also added googly eyes and a pom-pom for the nose.I used 3D foam pads to raise it a little and put silver mirri card and also a piece of a recycle Christmas craker from last year on the background. The final touch some ribbon attached to one side.

FELT SNOWMAN

Added felt to the hat and scarf for a different texture. Also blue gem stones glitter 3D paint. Used background paper that came free with a mag and cardstock from a leaflet that was cover with the backgrounf paper. "Let it snow" wooden greeting.

BEADED SNOWMAN

I used 3D gloss to attach the beads to the snowman and to the vellum. Also used the pom-pom and 3D paint glitter. Also used PM colossal papers for the background and organza ribbon.

TWINE & WOOL SNOWMAN

Sew twine on the hat of the snowman and wool on the scarf to give it a different texture this time. Also used 3D glitter paint and big confetti snowflakes. Added silver greeting and vellum too. Background papers from K & Co and let's make cards magazine issue 1.

DECOUPAGED SANTA & BEADS

I decoupaged this Santa. Only 3 layers. I also used 3D gloss on the hat, nose and boots to give it more dimension. Added beads and star sequins mixed bought in Tesco and also PM ones. Star button from "dress it up- Craftime". Background from free papers that came with a mag also added wooden glitered trees.

SANTA CLAUS Y CARRUAJE

I used gold spray paint for this card on the same stencil I used for the card below. Also used background paper I got for free with a mag last year. Used the Fiskars heritage Border punch and some gems to highlight the stenciling. I made a Ponsettia with ribbon of almost 1cm wide (2 layers of 5 petals), sew some beads and stuck it to one side.

Santa & Sleigh - Embossing

I dry embossed a plastic stencil and color it with chalks. I matted and layered in with green and gold cardstock. I thread some beads and a snowflake in the middle for a different touch

WIRE TREE & BEADS

This is my 1st Christmas card of this year. I used a thin silver wire (24 gauge) and a wire jig to make the tree. I added some beads in different sizes and some punched bows and glitter. I colored the wire with the green whisper permanent pen and attached it to the card with brads. Used a star sequins on the top and made the bottom of the tree with brads. Matted and layered with green and red miri card. I used a free paper that came with a Scrapbook mag last year and also some ribbon to some sides.

Swirl Earrings

I made this pair with a wire jig. Also used purple glass beads

MORE EARRINGS

Here's another pair I made a while ago. Just added a blue glass bead.

ARETES AZULES- EARRINGS 3

Another pair of dangling earrings but this time I used and "s" coil to wrap the glass blue bead.

ARETES VERDES - EARRINGS 2

This is the 2nd pair of earrings I made. Another simple design with a small coil at one end. Used green glass beads this time.

ARETES LILA - EARRINGS

This is the very first pair of earring I've made this year in a class. They're long ones. Used purple and clear glass beads and a pair of head pins. Simple but nice.

FELT WREATH

I made this wreath using a round cardstock template and sew a long strip of felt. Also used some red tinsel and butterfly sequins to make it sparkle. This was the 1st decoration I made for Christmas last year.

Navy blue knitted Bag

This my other knitted bag in which I used plastic circles to make the center of the flowers. I had to knitt about 24 flowers and then sew them together. The handle of the bag is Macrame though.

Brown Macrame Bag

I made this bag when I came here with some cord my sister sent me from Peru last year.
I used the plain knot at the beginning and other one that looks like the chinese knots a little bit. Took a couple of weeks to finish it.

MANGENTA KNITTED BAG

This is the 2nd bag I made when I took the macrame classes but this one is knitted. I used a hard base for the bottom of the bag. Though handles are not knitted they're macrame.

MY 1ST MACRAME BAG

I took some classes in Macrame while I was still living in Peru and this is the 1st bag I made. It took me a little to get the knots right but it was worth the efforts. It's not that complicated as it may seem. All you need to start is thread and mayve some pins to hold the threads to a surface (I use the pins on a cushion) and that's all the equipment you'll use. In this one I made lots of "plain" and "cord" knots. I also used 72 lengths of cord for this bag each measuring 3 meters.

NEW STORAGE BOUGHT IN DUBLIN

This is my new bead and embellishment storage I got on the weekend when Kevin and I went to Dublin on Saturday. I thought it would be great for storing my glass, wooden and metal beads as well as other embellishemts. I still haven't finished to fill all the drawers and I also not sure where I'll place it yet but I love it! It will make easier for me to find my beads and small embellihments so my cards and other project will be finished quicker.

I also got some bargain paper, card and felt in the 2 euros shops and wooden letters and beads in a toyshop. You can see the letters in one of the bottom drawers of my new "chest of drawers"

TU Y YO

This a page I made using a similar idea from the page above but this time I used a different shape and I only highlight some parts of it which big paper roses I made myself from plain white paper and which I coloured using chalks. I made the title using a stencil and adding some faux stitching with a fine pen.I added some 3D foam pads to the letters for more dimension. I also used some Papermania dome butterfly stickers on one side of the picture.
This picture was taken in my parents' house in Peru when my now husband Kevin came for a 3rd time to Peru. It was a Sunday morning and my sister took the pictures for us.

WIRE CHRISTMAS

This is the wire tree and beads I made using a wire gig. I added the beads as I was twisting the wire around the pegs. This is my 2nd wire tree and I like the result very much. Looks really funky but at the same time it's still traditional. Used some small round brads to attach it to the mulberry paper and card. I'm into wire embellishments these days!
